WHY DO YOU NEED DELIVERANCE?
- To fulfill your destiny to the glory of God, as appointed by Him
- To achieve your goals in life
- To recover what the cankerworms, caterpillars, and palmerworms have destroyed (Joel 2:25)
- So that God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob can attend to your prayers
- To rescue yourself and family members from evil family strongholds
- To attain power to destroy evil altars
- To attain holiness and purity
- To be set free from evil powers monitoring your life
DO ALL BELIEVERS BELIEVE IN DELIVERANCE?
- Some say that there is no need for deliverance because Jesus had already delivered them on the Cross of Calvary
- Numbers 14:18: The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation
- What about the powers that your ancestors worshipped and handed over to you?
- They must be renounced by you and every soul tie broken by the power in the Blood of Jesus through prayer and fasting
- What about the covenant that was already in place?
- They must be broken by you, if you want deliverance
- God is a covenant keeping God. He does not break covenents. So if your forefathers made covenants with these evil powers
- You will have to break it yourself and God will support you because He wants you to be free from these powers.
- There are many examples of deliverance in the Bible. All the healing miracles that were performed by Jesus were deliverance to the healed.
WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE NOT DELIVERED?
- When they try to conceal their sin from God
- When they lack faith in God
- When they are always going back to their vomit (Proverbs 26:11)
- When they exhibit disobedience to God and His authority here on earth
- When they fail to make God their source in everything they do and seek
